Market
From Secondhand Lands
The market is the center of commerce in Secondhand Lands. Here you can trade items with other players without both of you having to be online. Players with items for sale will post them on the market stating their demands. Players can then browse through the market categories in search of an item of their interest.
Market NPC's can be found in each starter village and at Nod. Talk to the NPC to open the function for buying and selling items. At the top of the window you can see how much funds you have access to.
Buying items from the market
Use the tab browse and choose the category you are interested in. Clicking on a main category lists items from all subcategories. The items are displayed in sets of 20 at a time and are listed in the right hand side of the window, and you can scroll up and down among these. If there are more than 20 items in the chosen category there will be buttons Next and Previous to use for viewing the next set of items on sale.
When you find an item you want to buy, you click on it to highlight it, and then use the Buy Button. The money and/or tokens asked for the item are withdrawn from your funds and the item ends up in your inventory. If your inventory is full, the trade does not take place.
Selling items on market
To post items on the market you need Market Credits, which can be bought from various NPC's. To buy these from NPC's you need tokens, which represents real life money.
Use the tab post item where your inventory is shown on the left side of the window. When you find the item you want to sell, click on it to highlight and then enter the amount of gold and/or tokens you ask for this item. Then Click on the Post button to make your item buyable by other players. For every item you post on the market you are charged one market credit. Stackable items only costs one credit, no matter how many of them you put up for sale. Also the price for stackable items is for the whole stack, not per item in the stack.
Active sales
To have a look at your active sales on the Market you use the active sales tab. Here you can see a list of all your active sales, and if you like you can withdraw them from the market, by clicking on the item in question and then on the Withdraw button. Note that the market credits used to put the item up for sale are NOT refunded.
