Faction
From Secondhand Lands
There are currectly two available factions in Secondhand Lands. They are Red Riding Hood and Bo Peep. Little Red Riding Hood and Bo Peep have been enemies for as long as any inhabitant in Secondhand Lands can remember. However, nobody remembers why, and these days people have stopped trying to persuade them to get over it.
They both have a few recruiters around, there's one in the two respective sheep and wolf villages and there is one of each faction at the centre of commerse: Nod. When you have become strong enough, you can join the faction of your choice when you have reached lvl 50. Just talk to one of the recruiters to join. There are no race requirements, any race can join any of the two factions. When you join for the first time you will get some complimentary PvP Juice, so that you can get juiced and fight for the cause. Note that you are not required to get juiced, you are most welcome even if you do not want to play PvP.
You can leave your faction to join the other at any time, but there is a 4 hour quarantine period before you can join the other. (RL online time, not in game time)
So, why join a faction?
Being in a faction brings another dimension into the world of Secondhand lands. There are events where only juiced up faction members can participate, some events give fame to your faction and others will give temporary boosts to all online faction members. All faction members have access to the faction channel, where you can plan and set up strategies for the events and for any attacks on other faction members. To talk in this channel, use /f command.
And not to forget: It's FUN!
Faction Leadership
Every week the faction leadership is up for a vote. Anyone wanting to run for leadership has to nominate themselves and then there is a two day voting period. Nomination period is 24 hour long and takes place on every friday, the voting period lasts for the following two days.
Every member can nominate themselves, and all members also have a vote. If nobody is nominated, the previous leader continues for another week.
The faction leader has an additional command to use: /fyell - to alert faction members about an upcoming fight or anything else the faction should be aware of.
Nomination and voting takes place at the Faction Stone in each faction's respective stronghold, Sheep Village or Wolf Village.
